24 hours with the Xoom and i'm impressed but not THAT impressed...yet.

Dislikes so far:

• Many of my favorite apps aren't honeycomb-ready or you could say honeycomb isn't (insert favorite app name)-ready.  
• Very few accessories.  The basic case that folds back as a prop SUCKS!  My Xoom kept falling down for lack of support but my iPhone 4 works nicely as a brace!  (I'll add that to the short list of iPhone 4's positives qualities)  I KEED I KEED!
• The device does not charge with the micro usb cable (usb only used to transfer data to/from computer)  
• The thought of going without my device for six days while Motorola upgrades the hardware for 4G.  This is only a rumor that I am aware of.  There is a SIM card slot for use "only after 4G upgrade."  (photo)  I'm guessing/hoping the 4g upgrade is as simple as inserting a 4g SIM card.   Otherwise, I'm deducting those 6 days from my monthly bill.  FOR REALZ YO! ;)

• Can't use microsd card slot YET.  (photo)  At least they left a note.

Well, a week later and I am sad to say I am still not excited about my Motorola Xoom.  I feel like a traitor but at least I can still say I like the Xoom better than the iPad.  Below are a few reason's why:

• Front and rear facing cameras.  Yes, I know iPad will have cameras but they don't now and now is where I exist.  ummm what?  Anyway, why Apple didn't put a camera on the first iPad is beyond me.  I won't buy a mobile device without a camera.
• Touchdown for tablets.  Bravo Touchdown for beeing the first Exchange email client with a tablet version for Android.  I scoured the market and the internet for something to compare to TD but fell short, well empty.  Stay tuned to a future post for details on why Touchdown is such a rockstar...
• 4g ready.  4G is FAST.  Really fast!  Faster than my home internet and sometimes on a good day faster than my office internet.  Thinking about the day when my Xoom tablet will be on VZW's 4G LTE network makes me salivate.  Let's hope i'm not dissappointed.  Otherwise my dedicated followers will protest causing a plummet in VZW and Motorola stock that will begin the spiral toward the end of life as we know it. BWAHAHAHA

I wish I had more exciting praise for the Motorola Xoom.  I'm still a fan, just had higher hopes.
